Gerrit and Lesley Wyma have a passion for wine. When they acquired a farm in the pristine Blaauwklippen Valley of Stellenbosch, South Africa, their single-minded goal was to produce a wine that would create a memorable tasting experience and at the same time embody the intimate and personal nature that their boutique vineyard had to offer. The Wymas named their farm and brand Cape Hutton, after the soil type on the farm.
The road from the vine to bottle is a passionate and committed one and required someone who shared Gerrit and Lesley’s vision.
They found this in winemaker Piet Smal.
